Mumbai citizens hold rally supporting Anna Hazare

Hundreds of citizens on Sunday participated in a vehicle rally obtained expressing solidarity with Anna Hazare to have an effective Lokpal INCREDIBLE INDIA.

The rally, organised through the Mumbai unit of India Against Corruption (IAC), began from Shivaji Park at Dadar in central Mumbai.



Ahead of the start of rally, over 100 youngsters took part in a street dance, led by Khushvi Gandhi of IAC, to spread awareness concerning the cause among common people.


IAC volunteer Praful Vora told PTI that as much as 300 vehicles, including motorbike, bicycle, buses, trucks, were area of the rally that has been accompanied by enthusiastic supporters of Hazare.


"Citizens are together in the rally and are pressing for strong and effective Jan Lokpal Bill as demanded by Anna Hazare," he explained.


The rally culminated at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai after passing across Worli, Haji-Ali, Tardeo, Opera House and Nana Chowk localities.


Meanwhile, villagers in Ralegan Siddhi on Sunday observed a day-long fast to guide Hazare INCREDIBLE INDIA.


Even shops inside the village downed shutters expressing solidarity using the veteran Gandhian.


A 'Prabhat Pheri' (morning march) was completed in the village that was accompanied by students.


The hour-long march applied for throughout the village culminated at Yadavbaba temple.

“I have joined the campaign today,” said Sharad, a company consultant. He was quoted saying he was helping people register to participate in rallies to get located in suburban aspects of Mumbai.


The Indian Medical Association (IMA), a small grouping of professional doctors in the united states with 220,000 members across India, announced their support for Anna Hazare.
