Anna Team Supports CBI on Lokpal

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which includes expressed its unhappiness over various the business of Lokpal, today was extended support from Team Anna which said the advice with the Parliamentary Standing Committee were dangerous and should be rejected.

"We support CBI's protest and believe the Standing Committee's report is dangerous and will be rejected," Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal told reporters in New Delhi.

He explained the advice, if implemented, will cripple the functioning with the CBI.

"Preliminary enquiry will be made compulsory in all cases that might warn the corrupt that he is under the CBI radar and allow him to protect himself before a raid happens. We support CBI's argument and they're rightly protesting counsel," Kejriwal said.

Younger crowd accused the us government of using Anna's campaign to dilute the role with the CBI.

Kejriwal's comments came since the CBI wrote a letter on the Department of Personnel and Training, saying the proposed course of action preliminary enquiry by Lokpal mandatory before giving cases on the CBI will "severely impair" great and bad the business in anti-corruption cases since it would lose the "surprise element" to undertake search operations, sources in the agency said.
